1. Acceptance of Terms

By enrolling in any programme at SGR Music Academy or using our website, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

2. Enrolment & Fees

• Enrolment is confirmed only upon receipt of the applicable registration fee and a completed admission form.
• Monthly tuition fees are due on or before the 5th of each month. Late payments may attract a nominal penalty.
• Fees once paid are non-refundable unless the Academy cancels a programme or class.
• SGR Music Academy reserves the right to revise fee structures with 30 days' written notice.

3. Attendance & Cancellations

• Students are expected to attend all scheduled sessions. Regular attendance is essential for progress.
• If a student needs to cancel a session, at least 24 hours' notice must be given. Make-up classes are subject to instructor availability.
• The Academy reserves the right to reschedule or cancel sessions due to public holidays, events, or unforeseen circumstances, and will notify students in advance.

4. Code of Conduct

All students, parents, and visitors are expected to treat faculty, staff, and fellow students with respect. SGR Music Academy maintains a zero-tolerance policy for any form of discrimination, harassment, or disruptive behaviour. Violations may result in suspension or termination of enrolment without refund.

5. Use of Academy Premises & Equipment

• Students must handle all instruments, equipment, and academy property with care.
• Any damage caused by negligence or misuse will be the financial responsibility of the student or parent/guardian.
• Food and beverages are not permitted in practice rooms or near instruments.

6. Photography & Media

SGR Music Academy may photograph or record students during recitals and events for promotional use on our website and social media. By enrolling, you grant us permission to use such media unless you explicitly opt out in writing.

7. Intellectual Property

All teaching materials, lesson plans, recordings, and content produced by SGR Music Academy faculty are the intellectual property of SGR Music Academy and may not be reproduced, distributed, or sold without prior written consent.

8. Health & Safety

Students with any medical conditions that may affect participation must inform the Academy at the time of enrolment. SGR Music Academy shall not be liable for any injury or health-related issues arising from participation in academy activities, except in cases of gross negligence on our part.

9. Termination of Enrolment

Either party may terminate enrolment with 30 days' written notice. The Academy reserves the right to terminate enrolment immediately in cases of serious misconduct, non-payment, or actions harmful to other students or staff.

10. Changes to Terms

SGR Music Academy reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued enrolment after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India and the jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Joining SGR Music Academy is simple and welcoming. Here's a step-by-step guide to get started on your musical journey.

Step 1 — Enquiry & Course Selection

Reach out to us by phone, email, or by filling in the contact form on this website. Our team will help you identify the right course — Violin, Vocal, or Mridangam — based on your age, experience level, and musical goals.

Step 2 — Free Trial Lesson

Every new student is offered a complimentary 30-minute trial session with the relevant faculty member. This allows both the student and instructor to understand each other and assess the best learning path forward.

Step 3 — Registration

After the trial, if you'd like to enrol, complete the Registration Form (available at the academy or downloadable upon request) and submit it along with:

• One passport-size photograph
• A copy of age proof (Aadhaar card / birth certificate)
• Parent / guardian details (for students under 18)
• Registration fee of ₹500 (one-time, non-refundable)

Step 4 — Schedule Allocation

Based on your availability, we'll assign you a regular weekly slot. We offer weekday, weekend, and evening batches to accommodate students at all stages of life.

Step 5 — Begin Learning

Once your schedule is confirmed and the first month's fee is paid, you're all set! You'll receive a welcome kit with your learning materials and academy guidelines.

• Open to all ages — from age 5 onwards
• No prior musical experience required for beginner batches
• Advanced batches require a skill assessment by the faculty

Our fees are structured to be fair, transparent, and competitive. All fees are per month unless stated otherwise.

Registration Fee

A one-time registration fee of ₹500 is payable upon enrolment. This covers your welcome kit and administrative processing.

Monthly Tuition — Individual (1-on-1)

Group Batch Fees

Payment Terms

• Monthly fees are due on or before the 5th of each month
• Accepted: Cash, UPI (GPay / PhonePe / Paytm), Bank Transfer
• A late fee of ₹100 applies after the 10th of the month
• Fees are non-refundable except in case of academy-initiated cancellations
• Sibling discount: 10% off for the second family member enrolled
• Annual payment option: pay 10 months, get 2 months free

SGR Music Academy runs classes six days a week across morning, afternoon, and evening slots. Individual timetables are assigned during enrolment based on student preference and faculty availability.

The SGR Music Academy Annual Recital is the most celebrated event in our calendar — a grand showcase where students of all levels perform on stage before an audience of family, friends, and music lovers.

About the Recital

Held every year in December, the Annual Recital brings together our entire student community for an evening of classical music, artistic growth, and shared celebration. The event is professionally organised with stage lighting, sound engineering, and a formal programme booklet featuring every performing student.

• Over 80 student performances across Violin, Vocal, and Mridangam
• Guest performance by D.R. Raghavendra and D.R. Chethan Murthy
• Special ensemble pieces featuring students across batches
• Awards presented for excellence in each discipline
• Held at Ravindra Kalakshetra, Bengaluru

Who Can Participate?

All enrolled students who have completed at least 3 months of training are eligible to perform. Participation is encouraged for every student — the stage is a powerful teacher in itself.

Preparation

From October, faculty members begin guiding each student toward their recital piece. Additional rehearsal sessions are scheduled in November and December to ensure every student performs with confidence.

2025 Recital

The next Annual Recital is planned for December 2025. Date and venue details will be announced to enrolled students by October 2025. Mark your calendars!

For Families

The recital is open to family and friends of all students. Entry is complimentary for immediate family members. A professionally edited video recording is made available to all performing students after the event.
